Trailer Weights & Towing Info
Both of are 24' Travel Trailers weigh 4,500lb
The 17QB weighs 4,000lb
The 106ST pop-up weighs 1,750lb
In order to tow any our travel trailers you should really be set up with a weight distribution hitch and a brake control, which we can rent you or you can purchase if you do not already have.
The brake control is used so the vehicle is not being pushed by the trailer, it keeps the vehicles brakes from working to hard and heating up.
The Weight Ditribution hitch is used to keep the sway of the trailer down when you are traveling down the highway. Also to keep the weight distributed correctly so you do not have all the weight of the trailer sitting on the rear of the vehicle. This will also take alot of the bounce out of the vehicle and the trailer.
All trailers including the pop up are set up with a seven way plug. If you are renting a trailer you will half to have this plug. If you are renting the pop-up and you have a four way plug we have an adapter you can borrow so you do not have to install the seven way.
